Lena Marshall Foundation partners with Van Vicker School of Performing Arts to sponsor students during Covid-19 pandemic.
Van Vicker School of Performing Arts is a local NGO in Liberia, West Africa that offers a program dedicated to providing an outlet of fine and performing arts education to the children, youth, and young adults of Liberia.
The Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) focuses on getting “out of school” inner city children/youth out of the streets of Monrovia and into the classroom. The program targets students that are between the ages of 8 to 15, who have either not had any formal schooling or started and were unable to complete primary school. They cater to inner city students living within the slums and West Point environment in the City of Monrovia.
The government of Liberia recently ordered a lock-down; our intention is to provide food and sanitary items for the students while they are at home.
