Lena Marshall Foundation (LMF) Girls Mentorship Program
The Young Adults Leadership Mentoring Program is a Life Skills and Coaching program tailored for girls between the ages 18 to 25yrs. It prepares them to meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood through a coordinated, progressive series of activities and experiences which help them to become socially, morally, emotionally, and physically competent. As a result of the program we expect participants to increase their knowledge, influence and attitudes about school, work, life, family and habits in general.
Area of Focus
Personal growth and development training
Leadership skills training
Female development and enrichment
Purpose of the Program
Every young girl has the potential to become a great leader, but this potential needs to be developed. The program’s unique ten-session, workshop-style design enables participants to develop this potential through practical experience.
The program is not in competition with school programs or courses, or other established youth projects. Instead, it’s a supplement to these programs, providing emphasis on specialized life skills, and individual needs.
We opened our program across the country and received applications from the following counties Montserrado, Margibi, Bong, and Nimba counties. Our first batch is a group of 23 young ladies.
